Details of Senior Manager Positions
The DTC is looking to fill 61 Senior Manager positions, with 30 allocated to the Mechanical Department. Out of these, 20 will be filled through promotions and 10 via direct recruitment. These roles are classified under Group 'A'.
The salary range for these positions is set between ₹15,600 and ₹39,100, accompanied by a grade pay of ₹6,600, aligning with Level 11 of the 7th Pay Commission. The upper age limit for direct recruitment is 45 years, with age relaxation applicable for government and DTC employees.
Candidates applying for direct recruitment must possess a degree in mechanical or automobile engineering and have a minimum of 8 years of experience in automobile vehicle repair and maintenance. Experience in a managerial role is essential, along with staff management capabilities.
The selection process will involve direct recruitment, promotions, and transfers. For promotions or deputations, candidates need 5 to 10 years of experience in the mechanical department. A probation period of 2 years will be mandatory for selected candidates.
Traffic Department Vacancies
In the Traffic Department, 31 Senior Manager positions are available. Here, 20 roles will be filled through promotions and 11 through direct recruitment, with the same salary structure as the Mechanical Department.
The age limit for direct recruitment remains at 45 years, with similar age relaxation for government and DTC employees. Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.
Additionally, applicants should have at least 8 years of experience in a managerial role or higher within a State Road Transport Corporation or a bus operations organization. Familiarity with route planning, timetables, and operational management is crucial. Preference may be given to candidates with a law or MBA degree.
For promotions or deputations, candidates must have 5 years of service or 8 years of total experience in a managerial position (Traffic). A 2-year probation period will also be enforced post-selection.
