CAU Recruitment Notification 2025



Overview of CAU Vacancies: The Central Agricultural University (CAU) has issued a recruitment notification for 179 positions, including Professors, Chairpersons, and other roles. Eligible candidates are invited to submit their applications online via the official CAU website. The last date for application submission is December 6, 2025.


The total number of vacancies includes:
- 1 Director of Instruction
- 1 Dean
- 3 Chairpersons
- 15 Professors
- 56 Associate Professors
- 103 Assistant Professors.


Eligibility Criteria:
- Director of Instruction: A doctoral degree in Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Home Science, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, or Veterinary Science is required, along with relevant basic sciences.
- Dean: A doctoral degree in a relevant field is necessary, including relevant basic sciences.
- Professor/Chairperson: Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
- Veterinary Science: Candidates must have a B.V.Sc. and A.H. with at least 55% marks or equivalent, along with a master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.
- Associate Professor: A doctorate in a relevant subject is required, including relevant basic sciences.
- Assistant Professor: A master's degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent is mandatory, along with a PhD and published research papers in scientific journals.


Age Requirements:
The maximum age limit is 40 years for Assistant Professors, 50 years for Associate Professors, and below 55 years for Professors. Age relaxation will be provided according to applicable regulations.


Application Fees:
There is no application fee for SC/ST/PwBD and female candidates. For UR and OBC candidates, the fee is ₹1000.
