Overview of CBSE Non-Teaching Recruitment



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the recruitment process for various non-teaching roles. Interested applicants can submit their applications online through the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.


Details of Available Positions

A total of 124 non-teaching positions are open for application. The application window commenced on December 2, 2025, and will close on the same date. Candidates can apply for roles such as Assistant Secretary, Superintendent, Junior Assistant, Junior Accountant, among others. The application link can be found on cbse.gov.in.


Eligibility Criteria

The qualifications required differ by position. Some roles are open to candidates who have completed their 12th grade, while others necessitate a minimum of 55% marks in either graduation or post-graduation. Specific requirements include:


1. For accounting and finance roles: A degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, CA, ICWA, or MBA.


2. For Hindi positions: A Master's degree in Hindi.


3. For Junior Assistants and Accountants: A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.


The age limit for applicants is set between 18 to 35 years, with age relaxation available for reserved categories as per regulations.


Selection Process

The selection will involve Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations, both formatted as multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Interviews may be conducted for certain positions, while others will rely on written exam results for direct selection.


Application Fees

The application fee is structured as follows:


1. ₹250 for SC, ST, PwBD, women, and ex-servicemen.


2. ₹1,750 for unreserved OBC and EWS candidates.


3. CBSE employees are exempt from any fees.


Exam Structure

The Tier 1 exam will be scored out of 450 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. A penalty of 1 mark will be applied for incorrect answers. Subjects covered will include General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Mathematics, Hindi, English, and Computer Skills. The Tier 2 exam will also last 2 hours, focusing on History, Geography, Economy, Constitution, Public Administration, Current Affairs, and English Comprehension.
