CBSE and NCB Collaborate for Drug De-Addiction Awareness Campaign

Launch of Drug De-Addiction Awareness Initiative
CBSE: A significant initiative is set to enhance the educational landscape and ensure a safer environment for students. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is partnering with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, to initiate a drug de-addiction awareness campaign. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be formalized between the two organizations on September 3, 2025, at the CBSE Headquarters located in Dwarka, New Delhi.
This campaign marks a crucial step towards fostering a drug-free atmosphere within educational institutions. The MoU will facilitate collaborative efforts in organizing awareness programs, workshops, and counseling sessions aimed at motivating teachers, counselors, and students to avoid drug use and embrace healthier lifestyles.
Involvement of School Principals and Counselors
Following the signing of the MoU, an awareness program will be conducted, inviting principals and counselors from CBSE-affiliated schools. The program will focus on:
- Strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of drug use
- Empowering educators and counselors in their roles
- Establishing drug-free communities within schools
To participate, interested individuals must complete a registration form. Participation is free of charge. The event is scheduled for September 3, 2025 (Wednesday), from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. School principals and counselors can access the registration form through the provided link.
Due to limited seating, registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, with confirmation sent via email to selected participants. Attendees will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
