The individual, Lavanya Jain, shared on X that he left his Electronics and Communication Engineering studies in the final semester. He believes this decision was the best he ever made, as it led him to explore new career avenues despite not having a completed degree.

Jain asserts that he works as a part-time contractor, earning approximately 4.86 lakhs each month. To support his claims, he shared screenshots of two payments received in his bank account, showing amounts of around 3.74 lakhs and 1.12 lakhs. However, these claims have not been independently verified.

In his post, Jain emphasized that his intention was not to showcase his earnings. He acknowledged that while IIT provides a better network and recognition, success is not solely dependent on the institution. He noted that he currently collaborates with individuals who graduated from IIT, which has ignited extensive discussions on social media.
