Required Qualifications

**Qualifications for Each State Code:**


Candidates applying for State Codes A and B must have a diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology, along with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or apprenticeship training.



For State Code C, a diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with one year of relevant experience or apprenticeship. State Code D applicants must possess a diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or Electrical Engineering (Industrial Control), also with at least one year of relevant experience or apprenticeship.


Age Limit

The age criteria for BPCL's non-executive recruitment are as follows: candidates must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 25 years as of July 1, 2026. There is a relaxation of 3 years for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) category.


Selection Process

**Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT):** Candidates will first take a computer-based test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 mark. The exam duration is 120 minutes, and there is no negative marking. The question paper will include 60 marks for subject-specific content and 40 marks for English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Current Affairs.


Stage 2: Skill Test and Medical Examination: Those who achieve the required cut-off in the CBT will be invited for a Skill/Proficiency Test, which is qualifying. Following this, selected candidates must pass a pre-employment medical examination to secure their appointment.


Salary Details

Selected candidates will be placed in the NG-2 grade, with a starting basic salary of ₹26,500 per month. The pay scale ranges from ₹26,500 to ₹34,000, along with Dearness Allowance (DA) and other benefits as per company policy.
