The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 191 Pump Operator roles within the Public Health Engineering Department. Interested candidates can submit their applications until January 12, 2026.

Applications for the BTSC Pump Operator Recruitment 2025 opened on December 12, 2025, and will remain open until January 12, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute issues.
The recruitment will allocate positions as follows: 77 for the General category, 19 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 31 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 2 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 33 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 23 for Backward Classes (BC), and 6 for BC (Female).
Applicants must have completed their 10th grade and hold a certificate in Mechanic or Fitter trade from a recognized ITI institution. Qualifications obtained through apprenticeship will not be accepted.
The age criteria for applicants will adhere to BTSC regulations, with age relaxation available for reserved categories as per government guidelines. The application fee is set at Rs. 100 for all candidates, payable via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
Selection will be based on a merit list derived from academic qualifications, document verification, and a medical examination. Successful candidates will receive a salary at Level-2 according to the 7th Pay Commission, along with additional government allowances.
