Bihar Teacher Recruitment: A significant update has emerged for the thousands of candidates aspiring to become government teachers in Bihar. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is set to fill 32,388 positions under the fourth phase of teacher recruitment, known as TRE 4.0. The education department has submitted detailed information regarding subject-wise and class-wise vacancies to the commission. This data allows candidates to strategize their preparation effectively, revealing which classes have the most openings, where opportunities are abundant, and which positions have seen a reduction in seats. The application process will commence following the official notification.
Highest Opportunities in Classes 11 and 12
The recruitment drive has allocated the majority of positions for the higher secondary level. According to the education department's proposal, 16,101 teachers will be appointed for classes 11 and 12. Following this, there are 8,563 positions for classes 6 to 8, 3,877 for classes 9 and 10, and 3,847 for classes 1 to 5. This clearly indicates that candidates for higher secondary levels will have the most opportunities.
Chemistry Leads in Vacancies
Among the subject-wise vacancies, Chemistry tops the list with 3,695 positions available. Following Chemistry, there are 1,758 vacancies in Physics, 1,321 in English, 1,078 in Botany, and 1,030 in Psychology. Additionally, there are substantial vacancies in subjects like Urdu, Sanskrit, Hindi, Music, Political Science, Mathematics, and History, providing excellent opportunities for candidates in science and language disciplines.
Strong Recruitment for Secondary and Middle Schools
For classes 9 and 10, the highest number of vacancies is in Social Science, with 756 positions available. This is followed by 696 in English, 660 in Urdu, 570 in Mathematics, and 463 in Science. For classes 6 to 8, there are 2,188 positions in Science and Mathematics and 1,929 in English. Adequate vacancies are also available in Sanskrit, Social Science, Hindi, and Urdu.
Focus on General Subjects at Primary Level
A total of 3,847 positions will be filled for classes 1 to 5, with 3,065 allocated for general subjects. There are 757 positions for Urdu and 25 for Bengali. Candidates specializing in general subjects will have the most opportunities at the primary level, benefiting many aspiring educators in early childhood education.
Revised Proposal Sees Some Positions Reduced
The education department has made revisions to the previously submitted proposal. Initially, 9,083 positions were proposed for classes 9 and 10, which have now been reduced to 3,877. Similarly, the positions for classes 11 and 12 have been decreased from 16,774 to 16,101. Nevertheless, the recruitment process for a total of 32,388 positions will continue. Candidates are now eagerly awaiting the official notification from BPSC and the dates for online applications.
