Bihar STET 2026 Application Update



The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced an extension for the application deadline for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar STET 2026) until September 15. Individuals aiming to secure government teaching positions or those preparing for the Bihar teacher recruitment (BPSC TRE 4) are encouraged to submit their applications online promptly.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Bihar STET 2026 examination, applicants must possess either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks. Furthermore, candidates should have completed a B.Ed., M.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed., or B.Sc.-B.Ed. program from an institution recognized by the NCTE.


Age Requirements

The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years. The upper age limit is 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories according to existing regulations. The age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026.

6. Finally, submit the form and print a copy for your records.

For the Bihar STET examination, candidates from the General, BC, and EWS categories are required to pay ₹960 for a single paper and ₹1,440 for both papers. Candidates from SC, ST, and PH categories must pay ₹760 for one paper and ₹1,140 for two papers. The application fee can be paid online.
