Bihar Staff Selection Commission Extends Application Deadline for 2025 Recruitment

12th Pass Government Job: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced an extension for the online application deadline for the Second Inter Level Recruitment 2025, now set for January 15, 2026. The deadline for submitting the application fee is January 13, 2026.

Originally, the recruitment offered 23,175 positions, but this number has increased by 1,317, totaling 24,492 vacancies. The available roles include Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Regional Investigator, among others.

Breakdown of Vacancies

The BSSC Second Inter Level Recruitment 2025 will fill 24,492 positions, categorized as follows: 10,753 for the unreserved category, 3,407 for Scheduled Castes, 231 for Scheduled Tribes, 4,185 for Extremely Backward Classes, 2,678 for Backward Classes, 811 for Backward Class Women, and 2,427 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Additionally, 7,816 positions are reserved for women under a 35% horizontal reservation, enhancing opportunities for female applicants.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

Applicants must have completed their 12th grade from a recognized board. Certain positions may require typing or computer proficiency. The age limit is set between 18 and 37 years as of August 1, 2025, with age relaxation available for reserved categories. The selection process will include a preliminary exam, a main exam, and a skill test, with the preliminary exam covering General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Mental Ability.
