BSSC 2nd Inter Level Recruitment 2025 Overview
Update on Bihar Second Inter Level Recruitment: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has significantly increased the number of vacancies for the Second Inter Level Recruitment. An additional 1,317 positions have been added to the previous total of 23,175, resulting in a new total of 24,492 vacancies. Furthermore, the deadline for submitting applications has been extended. Candidates can now apply until January 15, 2026, with the application fee payable until January 13, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of 12th standard (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Age must be between 18 and 37 years for male candidates.
- For Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class candidates (both genders), the age limit is 40 years.
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates (both genders) have an age limit of 42 years.
- All categories of disabled candidates receive a 10-year age relaxation.
Examination Fee
Each applicant is required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 100, along with additional processing charges and service tax. Payment can be made online via credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking.
Exam Pattern
If the number of applications exceeds 40,000, a preliminary examination will be conducted. The exam will consist of 150 questions covering:
- General Studies
- General Science and Mathematics
- Mental Ability Test
Each correct answer will earn four marks, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes, and it will be available in both Hindi and English.
To pass, candidates must achieve the following minimum scores:
- General category: 40%
- Backward Classes: 36.5%
- Other Backward Classes: 34%
- Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes: 32%
- Women and differently-abled candidates: 32%
