Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has unveiled the official notification for the 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination. This recruitment initiative aims to fill a total of 1,230 vacancies across various government sectors in Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility for 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Examination: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, irrespective of the discipline.


Child Development Project Officer: A Bachelor's degree in Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Labour and Social Welfare is required.


Financial Administrative Officer and Equivalent: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.


Sub-Divisional Protection Officer: A degree in Psychology or Law is necessary, and candidates must select one of these subjects for the Main Examination.


Age Limit Requirements

The age limits, effective from August 1, 2026, vary by post:

Application Fee Structure

Each applicant must pay an examination fee of ₹100 for each exam they apply for, including the 72nd CCE, Child Development Project Officer, FAO, and Sub-Divisional Protection Officer. If applying for multiple exams, separate fees are required for each.


Additionally, candidates who do not provide an Aadhaar number in their application will incur an extra biometric fee of ₹200 for each exam. It is advisable to include the Aadhaar number to avoid this additional cost.
