The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment for 2025. The application window for 1,799 available positions will open on September 26 and close on October 26, 2025. Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must be Indian citizens, allowing applicants from any state to participate. Additionally, candidates should possess a graduation degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the state government, obtained by August 1, 2025.
Age Requirements
The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the upper age limit is 37 years for candidates in the unreserved category. For OBC, Extremely Backward Class, and female candidates, the age limit is 40 years, and for SC, ST, and third-gender candidates, it is 42 years.
Physical Standards for Candidates
Candidates applying for SI roles must meet specific physical standards. For general and OBC categories, a minimum height of 165 cm is required, along with a chest measurement of 81 cm without expansion and 86 cm with expansion. For OBC, SC, and ST categories, the height requirement is 160 cm, with a chest measurement of 79 cm without expansion and 84 cm with expansion. Female candidates must have a minimum height of 155 cm and weigh at least 48 kg.
Selection Process Overview
The selection process involves multiple stages. Candidates must first take a preliminary examination. Those who pass this stage will be invited to the main examination. Following the main exam, candidates will undergo a physical test. A final list of successful candidates will be published after all stages are completed.

Candidates can only submit their applications online via the official website. Applications submitted through any other method will not be accepted. An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for all candidates.
