In a significant move to enhance law enforcement in Bihar, the Bihar Police Headquarters has announced a large-scale recruitment initiative. This drive aims to fill 15,821 positions for Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) on a contractual basis throughout the state. Notably, this recruitment will now allow retired personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to apply, expanding eligibility beyond just ex-servicemen.

**Recruitment Rally Dates**
The Bihar Police has assigned the Army Employment Welfare Organization at Danapur Cantonment to oversee this recruitment. The rallies are set to occur from June 1 to June 6, 2026, operating daily from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Candidates from the Purnia, Bhagalpur, and Darbhanga divisions will attend on June 1, followed by Kosi, Munger, and Saran divisions on June 2. The Tirhut division will have its recruitment on June 3, the Magadh division on June 4, and the Patna division districts on June 5 and 6.

Eligibility Requirements
**Who Can Apply?**
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must be permanent residents of Bihar and provide a domicile certificate from a Circle Officer (Anchal Adhikari) as proof. Additionally, experience in handling modern and automatic weapons is required. The recruitment will adhere to the state government's reservation policies.
Unique Recruitment Features
**No Physical Examination Required**
A unique aspect of this recruitment is that candidates will not need to undergo a physical fitness test, although a medical examination is mandatory. Preference will be given to those with experience in disaster management, bomb disposal, driving, swimming, diving, and operating motorboats.
Compensation Structure
**Salary and Benefits**
The recruitment will include 148 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), 15,135 SAP personnel, and 538 cooks. JCOs will earn a monthly salary of ₹35,000, SAP personnel will receive ₹30,000, and cooks will be compensated with ₹25,000. Additional allowances for uniforms, travel, and other expenses will also be provided. Appointments will be on a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
