Bihar Police Havildar Clerk Recruitment Announcement



The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has officially opened applications for the recruitment of Havildar Clerk positions as of January 2nd. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 64 Havildar Clerk vacancies, presenting a significant opportunity for eligible candidates. Interested individuals can submit their applications through the official BPSSC website until February 2nd, 2026.


Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirements


Candidates' ages will be determined as of August 1st, 2025. The minimum age is set at 18 years. Male applicants must be no older than 37 years, while female applicants can be up to 40 years old. Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates from reserved categories.


Educational Requirements


Applicants must have completed their Class 12th education from a recognized institution in India.


Selection Process

Examination Structure


The selection will involve a written examination followed by a physical efficiency test. The written exam will feature 100 multiple-choice questions, totaling 100 marks, covering topics such as Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs at the Class 10 level. Candidates must score at least 30 percent in this exam to qualify for the physical efficiency test.


Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Details


The PET will also be scored out of 100 marks. Male candidates are required to complete a 1.6-kilometer run in under 6 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 1-kilometer run in under 5 minutes. Additionally, there will be events for shot put and high jump, each worth 25 marks.

All applicants must pay an application fee of Rs. 100.
