Introduction to the Bihar Young Professional Program
The Government of Bihar is set to introduce a new initiative aimed at integrating young talent into its administrative framework. The Science and Technology Department will recruit Young Professionals based on their GATE scores, providing a unique opportunity for recent graduates with B.Tech, Diploma, and M.Tech degrees.
Objectives of the Young Professional Program
This initiative, known as the 'Young Professional Selection Policy 2026', aims to rejuvenate Bihar's approach to Science and Technology. The program is designed to engage the state's youth in significant government projects and schemes, fostering a modern and innovative environment.

In today's age of Digital India, Artificial Intelligence, and startups, the Bihar Government recognizes the need for young professionals who are adept in contemporary technologies. Recruitment Categories and Eligibility Criteria
The recruitment process will be divided into three categories, each with specific eligibility requirements:
1. **Young Professional-I**: Candidates must have completed a Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic or technical institute, achieving at least 75% marks.
2. **Young Professional-II**: Applicants should hold a B.Tech degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% and possess a valid GATE score from the last three years.
3. **Young Professional-III**: This category is for those with an M.Tech degree, requiring a minimum of 60% in their program, with admission based solely on a valid GATE score.
Employment Duration and Regulations
Selected candidates will initially be employed for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on performance. The Bihar Government will ensure adherence to its Reservation Policy throughout the recruitment process, promoting equal opportunities for all social categories.

- Bihar Council on Science and Technology (BCST)
- Bihar Remote Sensing Applications Centre (BIRSAC)

- Bihar Engineering University
- Planetarium (Darbhanga) and Sub-Regional Science Centre (Gaya)
- Various government engineering colleges and polytechnic institutes across the state.
