A notable recruitment opportunity has emerged for individuals who have previously served as Home Guards in Bihar. The Bihar Home Guard Corps is initiating the application process for new positions. Eligible candidates include male, female, and third-gender individuals who are currently registered and trained within the organization. The application window will be open from January 5 to February 5. All applicants must comply with the established criteria regarding age, educational background, physical standards, and the selection process.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

As per the recruitment notice, only those male, female, and third-gender candidates who are already part of the Bihar Home Guard Corps and have undergone training can apply. A minimum of five years of service in the organization is mandatory. Furthermore, candidates must have at least ten years of service remaining as of the application cut-off date, which is August 1, 2025.

Educational Qualifications Required

Candidates must have completed their Intermediate (12th grade) or an equivalent examination. The age limit will be determined as of August 1, 2025, with a minimum age of 24 years and a maximum age of 50 years for all applicants. Those selected will be compensated according to Pay Level-4.

Physical Standards Requirements

Physical standards are crucial for this recruitment. Specific requirements for height, chest, and weight have been established, although no points will be awarded for these metrics. Candidates failing to meet these standards will be disqualified.

For male candidates, the minimum height is set at 165 centimeters for General and Backward Classes, while it is 160 centimeters for Extremely Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes. Female candidates from all categories must have a minimum height of 155 centimeters.

Selection Process Overview

Chest measurements will be taken only for male candidates. For males in the General, Backward, and Extremely Backward Classes, the chest must measure 81 centimeters unexpanded and 86 centimeters expanded. For SC and ST candidates, the measurements are 79 and 84 centimeters, respectively. Women are not required to meet chest measurement standards but must weigh at least 48 kilograms. The selection process will consist of a written competitive exam and a physical fitness test, with only those passing both assessments being eligible for final selection.
