The Bihar government is currently recruiting for 3,727 vacancies for the role of Office Attendant/Parichari (Special). Candidates must register and submit their fees by today, September 24, 2025. To qualify for the BSSC Office Attendant role, applicants must have completed their 10th grade or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. The age requirements are as follows: candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a maximum age limit of 37 years for unreserved males, 40 years for backward and extremely backward classes (both genders), 40 years for unreserved females, 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and an additional 10 years for disabled candidates across all categories.

Selection Process Overview


Candidates will need to take a written examination as part of the selection process. This exam will feature objective-type questions, totaling 100. Each correct answer will earn 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers. The exam will cover topics such as general mathematics, general knowledge, and general Hindi.


The qualifying marks for the exam are set at 40% for unreserved categories, 36.5% for backward classes, 34% for extremely backward classes, and 32% for Scheduled Castes/Tribes, women, and persons with disabilities.
