Bihar BSSC Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 379 Sports Trainer roles following the CGL-4 and Office Attendant recruitments. Eligible candidates can submit their applications from October 9 to November 11, 2025, via the official website.


Vacancy Distribution

The total of 379 vacancies includes 128 reserved for women. The breakdown of positions is as follows:



  • 152 Unreserved


  • 61 Scheduled Castes (SC)


  • 4 Scheduled Tribes (ST)


  • 68 Most Backward Classes (MBC)


  • 45 Backward Classes (BC)


  • 11 Women from Backward Classes


  • 38 Economically Backward Classes (EBC)



Qualifications Required

Educational Requirement: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any field.


Technical Qualifications: Applicants should possess one of the following:



  • A Diploma in Sports Coaching in a relevant sport from the National Sports Institute managed by the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (Sports Authority of India).


  • A Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC) from the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, or a Central Sports University.


  • An equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognized Sports University or Bihar University.



Sports Achievements: Candidates must have one of the following:



  • Represented India in a recognized international competition.


  • Represented the state in an international or national championship.


  • Participated in recognized international competitions such as:



    • Olympic Games


    • Commonwealth Games


    • Asian Games


    • World Championships


    • Asian Championships


    • Other recognized annual international competitions.


    • Participated in the All India Inter-University/Recognized Junior Championships/National Championships at least twice.


    • Participated in the Inter-Sports Competition/All India Police Games/Inter-Railway Championship at least three times.




Selection Process and Age Criteria

Age Limit: For the BSSC Sports Trainer recruitment, general category candidates must be aged between 21 and 37 years. The maximum age limit is 40 years for BC and EBC men and women, and 42 years for unreserved women and SC/ST candidates.


Selection Method: Candidates will undergo a written examination followed by an interview. A merit list will be created, and appointments will be made based on reservation categories.
