Bihar Teacher Recruitment Update



Candidates preparing for teaching positions in Bihar have received encouraging news. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has increased the number of vacancies for the TRE 4 recruitment initiative to a total of 33,385 teachers. This latest update includes 111 positions specifically for music teachers catering to classes 9 and 10. Initially, the recruitment was set for 32,388 posts, with an addition of 886 posts on August 24, followed by the recent inclusion of 111 posts, resulting in a total increase of 997 vacancies from the original count.


Details on Music Teacher Vacancies

The BPSC initially announced the TRE 4 vacancies on August 18, listing 32,388 positions. Following this, additional vacancies for various subjects were introduced. On August 24, 886 posts were added for subjects including Bangla, Fine Arts, Dance, Maithili, Arabic, Persian, Special Education, Pali, Prakrit, Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Agriculture, raising the total to 33,274. With the latest addition of 111 music teacher posts, the overall count has now reached 33,385.


Upcoming Changes and Revised Advertisement

A new advertisement for TRE 4 is anticipated soon, following negotiations between the government and candidates who were protesting various issues. The application period was initially set from September 1 to September 29, but the revised advertisement will include updated details due to modifications in examination regulations.


The government has agreed to implement a single examination format. Additionally, discussions are underway to eliminate negative marking and adjust the syllabus, which is expected to ease the process for candidates. There are also requests to include students from B.Ed. and other teacher training programs in the TRE 4 recruitment. If these requests are granted, the application deadline may be extended.


BSSC Exam Calendar Announcement

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) is also expected to announce its exam calendar shortly. Numerous recruitment exams in the state have been delayed, leaving many candidates anxious about their future. Students have expressed concerns that the postponement of exams is causing them to surpass the age limit, in addition to increasing their financial and mental burdens.
