Bihar Board Implements Strict Measures for Upcoming Exams
Enhanced Examination Protocols for Bihar Board
This year, the Bihar Board is enforcing rigorous measures for the Intermediate and Matriculation examinations. The existing rules for entering examination centers have been tightened further. Clear directives have been issued to ensure that students arrive at their respective centers ahead of time, as the entry gate will only remain open for a limited duration.
The Intermediate exams are set to commence on February 2nd. For the morning session, the main gate will open at 8:30 AM and will close sharply at 9:00 AM. Students arriving after this time will not be permitted entry under any circumstances. The administration has urged students to reach the centers by 8:00 AM. The same entry protocol will apply for the afternoon session, which runs from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
In a recent video conference, the Additional Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations with officials from the administrative, police, and education departments. He emphasized that strict penalties will be enforced against anyone who violates the rules or attempts to enter forcefully. Any student attempting to climb over walls or gain entry late will face criminal charges.
Mobile Phones Prohibited for Officials
To ensure examination integrity, the surveillance measures have been intensified. Officials visiting examination centers for inspections will not be allowed to carry mobile phones and must leave them in their vehicles. This measure aims to curb any potential malpractice.
This year, the Intermediate examinations will take place at 81 centers across the district, an increase from 74 last year. All center superintendents have been instructed to prominently display the entry times outside their centers to assist students.
Schedule for Answer Sheet Evaluation
The examinations will run from February 2nd to February 13th, followed by the commencement of answer sheet evaluations. The Bihar Board has scheduled the evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets to begin on February 27, while Class 10 evaluations will start on March 2. Five centers will be designated for evaluating intermediate exams and six for matriculation exams within the district.
District Education Officer Kumar Arvind Sinha announced that a provisional list of examiners has been released. Center directors, supervisors, and computer teachers will undergo training at a workshop in Patna on January 29, where Bihar Board officials will outline the evaluation rules and procedures.
