Bihar BCECEB Opens Applications for B.Tech Courses for 2026-27
Bihar BCECEB Application Process Begins
Exciting news for students aiming to pursue B.Tech degrees at both government and private engineering institutions in Bihar. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has launched the online application process for the academic year 2026-27. Aspiring engineers can register on the official website until May 5, 2026.
Key Dates for the BCECE-2026 Examination
As per the announcement from the Board, the BCECE-2026 examination is set for May 30 and 31. The exam will be conducted in four shifts on May 30, with the last shift occurring on May 31. The application window opened on April 15, and candidates should be mindful of the May 5 deadline. A grace period until May 6 is available for those who need to complete their payment after registration.
Correction Window and Admit Card Issuance
Students who make mistakes in their application forms need not worry. The Board will provide a 'Correction Window' on May 7 and 8. Admit cards will be distributed to candidates on May 22. This process is designed to be fully digital and transparent, ensuring students face minimal challenges.
Admission Process and Seat Allocation
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main will serve as the primary criterion for admissions into Bihar's engineering colleges. Initially, online counseling will be available for candidates who have secured ranks in JEE Main. Any remaining seats will then be allocated to students who have successfully passed the BCECE-2026 examination. This is a significant opportunity for those who may not have performed as expected in JEE Main or could not attend the exam.
Application Procedure
Candidates interested in applying can access the detailed prospectus on the official BCECEB website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. It is crucial to thoroughly review the eligibility requirements before submitting an application. This examination not only facilitates admission to engineering courses but also to other vital undergraduate programs, including pharmacy and agriculture.
