Vacancy Details
The majority of the openings—380—are designated for Trade Apprentices. These positions encompass trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Turner, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Mechanic (R&AC), and COPA. Candidates selected for these roles will participate in a 12-month apprenticeship program. Depending on the trade, the monthly stipend will range from ₹10,560 to ₹11,040.
Stipend Information
Furthermore, there are 60 Technician Apprentice positions available, aimed at diploma holders in Mechanical, Computer, Civil, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Those chosen for these roles will earn a monthly stipend of ₹10,900 throughout their one-year training.
In addition, 90 vacancies are available for Graduate Apprentices, which include positions in Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, as well as roles for Accountants and HR Assistants. Selected graduates will receive a stipend of ₹12,300 per month.

Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years of age. There are age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (NCL) applicants, and 10 years for persons with disabilities (PwD).

How to Apply
Candidates must possess High School and ITI qualifications for Trade Apprentices, a diploma for Technician Apprentices, and a relevant degree for Graduate Apprentices. Applications are accepted exclusively online. Candidates need to register on the designated government apprenticeship portal and then submit their applications through the BHEL Trichy portal.
The online application window opened on August 14, 2026, and will close at 11:45 PM on September 12, 2026. It is important to note that BHEL does not guarantee employment upon completion of the apprenticeship.
