RRC SR Apprentice 2025: The Railway Recruitment Cell for South Railway has announced the opening of applications for more than 3,500 Apprentice positions. Eligibility Criteria for RRC SR Apprentice
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility requirements for this recruitment are based on educational qualifications and age. Candidates should review these criteria before applying:
Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed their 10th grade with at least 50% marks from a recognized board or have passed the 12th grade with a science background. Additionally, they should possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an accredited institution.
Age Limit (as of September 25, 2025): The age range for fresh candidates is set between 15 and 22 years. For Ex-ITI/MLT candidates, the upper age limit is 24 years, with age relaxation applicable as per government regulations.
Application Fee Structure
Application Fee:
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. However, the application is free for Female, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates. The fee must be paid online.
Stipend During Training
RRC SR Apprentice Training Stipend:
During the apprenticeship, candidates will receive a monthly stipend. Those who have completed 10th grade will earn Rs 6,000 per month, while 12th pass and Ex-ITI candidates will receive Rs 7,000 per month.
10th pass - Rs 6,000 per month
12th pass and Ex-ITI - Rs 7,000 per month
Selection Process Overview
Selection Process:
Candidates will be chosen based on merit. A merit list will be compiled based on the marks obtained in 10th, 12th, or ITI examinations. Those selected will undergo document verification, followed by a mandatory medical fitness test.
