AIIMS Patna Announces Senior Resident Vacancies

AIIMS Vacancy 2026: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna has revealed an opportunity for recruitment, offering 75 positions for Senior Residents. This recruitment initiative is set for the year 2026, and eligible candidates can directly participate in the interview process.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for this recruitment, applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant medical field, such as MD, MS, DNB, DM, or M.Ch, recognized by the MCI/NMC/NBE.

Additionally, for positions in Clinical Hematology, candidates with an MD in General Medicine or Pediatrics are also eligible.

Age Limit:

The upper age limit for applicants is set at 45 years as of the interview date. Candidates older than 45 years will not be considered. However, age relaxations are available for certain categories: SC/ST candidates receive a 5-year relaxation, OBC candidates 3 years, and PwBD candidates 10 years.

Application Fees:

The application fee varies by category: General and OBC candidates must pay ₹1,500, while SC, ST, and EWS candidates are required to pay ₹1,200. Ex-Servicemen, female applicants, and candidates with disabilities (PwD) are exempt from any application fees.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview, with no written examination involved. All original documents will be verified on the interview day, and eligibility will be assessed at that time. In case of a tie in scores, preference will be given to the older candidate. The final results will be posted on the official AIIMS Patna website, and no individual notifications will be sent.
