Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the Flying Branch must have completed a 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, along with a three-year degree/B.E./B.Tech with at least 60% marks.


For the Ground Duty (Technical) Branch, a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) or Mechanical Engineering is required.


Age Requirements

Candidates for the AFCAT Flying Branch and NCC Special Entry must be aged between 20 and 24 years, meaning they should be born between January 2, 2003, and January 1, 2007. For Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical), the age limit is 20 to 26 years, with birth dates falling between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2007.


Selection Process

The selection will involve a written examination, AFSB interview, medical examination, and a final merit list. Candidates can also enhance their preparation for the written exam through AI tools. NBT Upskill is currently offering an AI Career Growth Workshop for interested candidates.


Application Procedure

Steps to Apply:


1. Visit the official website, afcat.edcil.co.in.


2. Enter your name (as per your 10th-grade marksheet), mobile number, and email ID, and verify via OTP.


3. Log in using your user ID, password, and captcha code.


4. Select your exam category and fill in all required details including personal information and qualifications.


5. Upload your scanned photo (100kb to 200kb), signature (80kb to 150kb), and thumb impression (50kb to 100kb). Use live image capture for the photo.


6. Review the declaration, pay the application fee, and submit the form.


Application Fee

The application fee for the AFCAT is ₹550. However, there is no fee for candidates applying under SSC Special Entry and Meteorological Entry. Payments can be made online.
