Ajit Doval was born in Uttrakhand in 1945. His father was an officer in the Indian Army. This was the main factor of his love for defence forces. He received his education at the Ajmer Military School, Rajasthan. He graduated with a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Agra in 1967.

His first Big Role as NSA
The first big role Doval took as National Security Advisor was to execute the first ever foreign surgical strike on the rebel camp located at the Indo-Burmese border. 40 commandos from the deadly 21 Para regiment created history when two teams, with MI-35 helicopters, attacked two NSCN (K) camps four km deep in Myanmar and killed an estimated 30-50 rebels with surgical precision.This was widely praised by the media.
