The NTA has, however, denied any allegations of a paper leak.
Investigation Underway
Reports suggest that due to the allegations of a paper leak, many candidates have reported issues such as spelling mistakes, incorrect translations, and errors in specific questions from the Sociology paper. The Ministry of Education has instructed the NTA to investigate these claims, which is believed to be contributing to the delay in releasing the provisional answer key. As of now, the NTA has not issued any formal statement regarding this situation.
Exam Overview
The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted across the country from June 22 to June 30, 2026, covering a total of 87 subjects. The first shift ran from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift was from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, a re-examination took place on July 5, 2026, for candidates at a center in Jalandhar, Punjab, where the original exam had to be canceled.
Post-Release Process
Once the provisional answer key is available, candidates will have the opportunity to verify their answers and gauge their performance. If there are any objections to specific answers, candidates can submit their concerns online within a designated timeframe, accompanied by a fee of ₹200 per question. The final answer key will be published after a thorough review by subject experts, and results will be based on this final version.
