LPU Students Shine at Global Future Forum 2025 with Innovative AI Technology
LPU Students Make Their Mark on the Global Stage
Students from Lovely Professional University (LPU) have once again showcased their talents internationally. Megha Thakur and Nishikant Yadav, pursuing MSc in Fruit Science, represented India at the Global Future Forum 2025 in Malaysia, earning widespread recognition for their contributions.
Their project highlighted the capabilities of the younger generation, demonstrating that they are not only academically proficient but also skilled in addressing real-world challenges.
Innovative Research on Smart AI Tags
In a remarkable display of India's advancements in agricultural technology, Megha and Nishikant introduced an AI-driven smart tag designed to enhance the shelf life of horticultural products. This innovative solution aims to keep fruits and vegetables fresh for extended periods.
Under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Verma, their research integrates AI algorithms with IoT sensors that monitor critical parameters such as temperature, humidity, and ethylene gas levels surrounding fresh produce. Colonel Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, emphasized the importance of innovation that serves both humanity and the environment.
The Global Future Forum 2025 featured innovators from across the globe, and experts acknowledged the transformative potential of this technology in the agricultural sector, particularly in regions where crop losses are prevalent due to various challenges.
