JEE Main 2026 Registration Details



The registration for JEE Main 2026, India's premier engineering entrance examination, is officially underway. Candidates can apply until 11:50 PM on November 27, 2025, and must ensure their application fees are submitted by this deadline. The examination will take place in two separate sessions.


Application Process and Fees

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the application process for JEE Main 2026 commenced on October 31. Aspiring students aiming for B.Tech, B.E., B.Arch., or B.Planning programs can complete their applications online via the NTA's official website until the specified deadline.


Application Fees:



  • General Male Candidates: ₹1,000

  • OBC and EWS Candidates: ₹900

  • Female Candidates: ₹800

  • SC, ST, Transgender, and Differently-Abled Candidates: ₹500


There is no age restriction for applicants. Candidates who completed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, or those who will appear in 2026, are eligible to apply. It is essential for candidates to have studied Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.


Required Documents for Application

Before applying, candidates should ensure their documents are current. Required documents include:



  • Aadhaar Card

  • UDID Card

  • Category Certificate


It is crucial that the details on the Aadhaar card, such as name, date of birth, address, and photograph, match those on the Class 10 marksheet to avoid application rejection.


Exam Schedule and Format

The JEE Main exam will be conducted in two sessions: the first from January 21 to 30, and the second from April 1 to 10, 2026. Exam city details for the first session will be available in early January, with admit cards issued 3 to 4 days prior to the exam. Results are expected to be announced by February 12, 2026.


The exam format remains unchanged, comprising 75 questions totaling 300 marks. The subjects covered will be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with each subject containing 25 questions. Candidates will earn four marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for incorrect responses. There will be no penalties for unanswered questions.
