IIT JAM 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially opened the registration for the IIT JAM 2026 examination today. Students aspiring to pursue a master's degree from esteemed institutions can now apply for this entrance exam. Interested candidates can complete their applications by visiting the official websites jam2026.iitb.ac.in or joaps.iitb.ac.in.
According to the schedule, the registration period for IIT JAM 2026 will run from September 5 to October 12, 2025, via the Online Application Processing System (JOAPS).
Important Registration Guidelines:
Candidates must provide a personal email address and mobile number during registration, as all communications will be conducted through these channels. It is crucial to use a valid and personal email and phone number.
Each applicant is permitted to submit only one application form. Even if a candidate intends to appear for two exam papers, they must use the same application. Submitting multiple applications may lead to disqualification.
Key Points for Registration:
A Class 10 (SSC) mark sheet or certificate is required.
Candidates must upload a recent passport-sized photograph with a white or light-colored background in JPEG/JPG format, sized between 50 kB and 200 kB. The photo should clearly show the candidate's face without shadows, masks, or colored glasses, as poor-quality images may lead to application rejection.
For the signature, candidates should use black or dark blue ink on white paper, have it professionally scanned, and upload it in JPEG/JPG format (50 kB to 150 kB).
Category certificates (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST) must adhere to official formats and be issued after April 1, 2025.
Candidates with disabilities must provide a valid disability certificate as per the guidelines.
IIT JAM serves as a national-level entrance exam for admission into Master's programs, including MSc, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and Integrated PhD across 22 IITs and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

2. Register by entering your name, email, mobile number, and password.
3. After registration, an enrollment ID and OTP will be sent for login.
4. Fill out the application form through the JOAPS portal.

6. Pay the application fee.
7. Submit the completed application form and print a copy for your records.
