Course Details for Working Professionals

Currently, several IITs across the nation offer various short-term courses that are open to students and professionals alike. Participants will receive a certificate from IIT upon completion, and no specific degree or JEE exam is necessary for enrollment.


Focus on Semiconductor and Electronics

IIT Hyderabad has initiated a certificate course in chip design, specifically targeting individuals interested in careers within the semiconductor and electronics sectors. Admission to the VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) chip design course is available without the JEE Advanced results.

The course will run from October 8 to November 29, 2025, with applications accepted until September 30.


Course Structure and Duration

This 45-hour online course, organized by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at IIT Hyderabad, will include practical training alongside theoretical studies in analog and digital IC design.


Subjects Covered in the Course

A unique aspect of this program is its focus on EDA tools such as Cadence and LTSpice. The total fee for the course is approximately Rs 14,160, which includes all associated costs. Key subjects include Analog Chip Design and Digital IC Design.


Certification Upon Completion

Upon finishing the course, participants will receive one of three types of certificates based on their performance:



  • Participation Certificate (CoP): For scores below 35%

  • Certificate of Achievement (CoA): For scores between 35% and 75%

  • Certificate of Excellence (CoE): For scores above 75%
