CUET UG 2026 Score Calculator

CUET UG 2026 Score Calculator: With the provisional answer key now available for the Common University Entrance Test, numerous candidates are busy estimating their potential scores. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the recorded responses, question papers, and provisional answer keys on its official site. This allows candidates to compute their expected marks using the official marking criteria prior to the announcement of results.

Exam Overview

This year's CUET UG was conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format from May 11 to May 31, and again on June 6 and 7, 2026. A total of 1,568,867 candidates from both India and abroad participated in the examination.

CUET UG Marking Scheme

What is the CUET UG marking scheme?
In the CUET UG, candidates earn 5 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Unattempted questions neither gain nor lose marks.

Answer Type Marks Awarded
Correct Answer 5 marks
Incorrect Answer -1 mark
Unattempted Question 0 marks

Calculating Your Probable CUET UG Score

How to calculate the probable CUET UG score
To find out your probable score, compare your recorded responses with the answer key. Use the following formula:

CUET Score = (Correct Answers × 5) − (Incorrect Answers × 1)

Example of Score Calculation

Understanding score calculation with an example
Consider a candidate who attempted 50 questions, with the following results:

  • 40 correct answers
  • 8 incorrect answers
  • 2 unattempted questions

Score Calculation:

Marks for correct answers: 40 × 5 = 200
Deduction for incorrect answers: 8 × 1 = 8

Final probable score = 200 – 8 = 192 marks

This method allows candidates to gauge their performance in the exam.

Objection Process for the Answer Key

By when can objections be raised against the answer key?
If candidates find discrepancies in the provisional answer key, they can raise objections by paying the required fee.
