Important Advisory for JEE Main 2026

JEE Main 2026 Advisory: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a crucial advisory for candidates preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026. Aspiring students aiming for admission into engineering (BTech), architecture (BArch), and planning (BPlanning) programs are urged to ensure their Aadhaar card, UDID card, and category certificates (EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL) are updated well ahead of time. This proactive step is essential to prevent any issues or rejections during the application phase.

Required Document Updates:
To facilitate a seamless examination experience, the NTA emphasizes the importance of updating the following documents prior to application submission:
1. **Aadhaar Card** – Ensure it reflects the correct name, date of birth (matching the Class 10 certificate), recent photograph, address, and father's name.
2. **UDID Card** (for PwD candidates) – Must be valid and renewed on time.
3. **Category Certificate** – Valid and updated certificates are essential for EWS, SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates.
The NTA warns that failure to update these documents accurately and promptly may lead to discrepancies in applications, resulting in complaints and potential rejections. Therefore, candidates should verify and update all necessary documents without delay.

Exam Schedule:
The JEE Main 2026 will take place in two sessions. The first session is scheduled for January 2026, followed by the second session in April 2026. The NTA plans to release the online application form for Session 1 in October 2025 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
