How to Download WBPSC Executive Preliminary Exam 2023 Admit Card

  1. Visit the official West Bengal Public Service Commission website: wbpsc.gov.in
  2. Click on the "Admit Card" or "Download Hall Ticket" tab.
  3. Select the link for "WBCS Executive Preliminary Examination 2023."
  4. Enter your registration number, date of birth, and other required information.
  5. Click on the "Submit" button.
  6. Download your admit card and take a printout for the exam.

Exam Pattern

The WBPSC Executive Preliminary Examination consists of a single paper on General Studies. The paper will carry 200 marks and will comprise 200 multiple-choice questions. The questions will cover a wide range of topics, including Indian history, Indian economy, Indian and world geography, Indian polity and constitution, social issues, and current affairs. Candidates will be given 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the paper.

Marking Scheme

The WBPSC Executive Preliminary Examination follows a one-mark-per-question system. A correct answer will earn the candidate a full mark, while a wrong answer will result in a negative mark. The details of the negative marking scheme have not yet been released.

Selection Process

The WBPSC Executive Preliminary Examination is a screening test. The marks obtained in this exam will not be considered for the final selection. Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main exam, which consists of six compulsory papers and one optional subject with two papers. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the main exam.
