Uttarakhand's Primary Teacher Recruitment Drive

Overview of the Recruitment: A significant recruitment initiative for basic teachers has been launched in Uttarakhand, targeting 1,649 assistant teacher roles. The application window opened on November 8, 2025, and will remain open until November 30, 2025. The Uttarakhand Education Department is conducting this recruitment across several districts, including Tehri, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Bageshwar, Nainital, and Dehradun.

Each district is mandated to adhere to the Right to Education (RTE) Act and the National Education Policy during the recruitment process. The current student-teacher ratio is a crucial factor in determining the number of vacancies available at the district level.

Age Requirements:
The age range for applicants is set between 21 and 42 years, with age calculated as of July 1, 2025. The state government will offer age relaxation in accordance with existing regulations.

Educational Criteria:
Applicants must possess a graduation degree along with a D.El.Ed qualification. Additionally, passing the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory.

Salary Structure:
The salary for the assistant teacher position in Uttarakhand ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
