Uttar Pradesh Offers BTech Admissions Without JEE and CUET for 2025

BTech Admission 2025: A New Opportunity
In Uttar Pradesh, a significant number of BTech seats—approximately 70,000—remain unfilled. The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has announced that admissions will now be available without requiring JEE or CUET scores. This initiative aims to assist students who were unable to take these entrance exams.
Despite five rounds of counseling conducted by AKTU, around 31,000 seats have been filled, leaving a staggering 70,000 seats still vacant. Notably, about 1,900 of these vacancies are in government engineering colleges.
Special Counseling Initiative
To address the vacant seats, AKTU has introduced a special counseling program. This program will include two additional rounds of admissions, allowing students to secure a place based on their JEE and CUET scores, as well as their 12th-grade marks.
Admission Process Details
The deadline for registration and fee payment for the first special counseling round is set for August 28, 2025. Students can fill their choices until August 31, with seat allotments scheduled for September 2. The second round of registration will occur on September 7 and 8, with choice filling open until September 10 and seat allotments announced on September 11.
This is a crucial opportunity for students who have not yet secured admission to pursue their engineering studies.
