For Geologists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India: Master’s degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Geophysical Technology from a recognized University

For Geophysicist Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India: M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) Or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a recognized University

For Chemists Gr ‘A ‘ in Geological Survey of India: M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature

For Junior Hydro geologists (Scientist B), Group ‘A’ in Central Ground Water Board: Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized University

Application Fees: Candidates are required to pay Rs. 200/-. ST/ SC/ PH candidates. Fees will be paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card.

Exam Pattern:

Geology Exam will be divided in 3 parts Paper I, Paper II and Paper III, each paper carries 200 marks. Time duration of exam is 3 hours.
