Interested candidates can apply online through the official UPSC website within the specified dates. Notably, there are new guidelines regarding photo uploading that applicants must adhere to.

New Guidelines and Changes:

  • The uploaded photograph must be taken within 10 days from the start of the online application process.
  • The applicant's name and the date the photograph was taken should be visible in the image.
  • The candidate's face should be clearly visible and cover at least 3/4th of the image.
  • Candidates must ensure consistency in appearance with the uploaded photograph throughout the examination stages.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in
  2. Look for the UPSC CSE 2024 notification link on the homepage and click on it.
  3. A PDF file containing the exam notification will open, along with the application form.
  4. Register yourself and fill out the application form accurately.
  5. Upload the required documents and proceed to pay the application fee.
  6. Verify the details and submit the form.

Application Fee:

  • General category candidates: Rs. 100/-
  • SC/ST/Benchmark Disability candidates and women candidates: Exempted from the fee
  • Payment methods: Cash at any SBI branch, Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Visa, Master, RuPay, or UPI.
