Candidates interested in applying for the JEE Main 2026 should note that registration for the first session will commence shortly this October. The official notification detailing the registration and examination dates for the January session of JEE Main 2025 will also be published in October. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the JEE Main 2026 in two sessions: the initial session in January and the subsequent one in April. Once the registration opens, applicants can submit their forms via the official website.


How to Register for JEE Main January 2026

To register for the January session of JEE Main 2026, candidates must visit the official site at jeemain.nta.ac.in. They should locate the registration link for the January session, fill in the application form with the necessary details, upload the required documents, pay the application fee, and then submit the form. It is advisable to save and print a PDF copy of the completed application for future reference.


Important Advisory for Candidates

Prior to the registration for JEE Main, the NTA has issued an advisory urging candidates to ensure their Aadhaar card, UDID card, and category certificate are updated. The notification emphasizes, "To facilitate a smooth JEE Main 2026 process, all eligible candidates should update the following documents before applying to prevent any discrepancies, complaints, or rejections later on."


Required Documents

Aadhaar Card: Ensure that the Aadhaar card displays the correct name, date of birth (matching the Class 10 certificate), recent photograph, address, and father's name.


UDID Card: The UDID card must be valid and updated as necessary.


Category Certificate: Ensure that the category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC) is current and valid.
