UP Special TET Exam Application Process Concludes
The application phase for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET Exam) organized by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially ended. As a result, teachers currently in service who did not pass the TET previously, along with those who encountered issues while completing the application for the Special Educator (CWSN) eligibility test, are now permitted to make necessary corrections.
Correction Deadline
Candidates who need to rectify any mistakes made in the UP Special TET application form can do so until October 8, 2026. The correction facility will be accessible until this specified date.
Eligibility Criteria for the Special TET Exam
In accordance with a Supreme Court directive, it is now essential for all currently employed teachers to clear the TET exam by 2028. To facilitate this, the Special TET exam is being conducted. Eligible participants include teachers working at the primary level (Classes 1–5), upper primary level (Classes 6–8), and Special Educators (CWSN), totaling around 2,500 candidates.
Steps to Correct the Application Form
To amend the UP Special TET application form, follow these steps:
1. Visit the official website: upessc.up.gov.in.
2. Click on the 'Special TET Application' link available on the homepage.
3. Enter your login credentials.
4. Make the required corrections to your information.
5. Submit the updated form and print a copy for your records.
Application Fees
The application fee structure is as follows:
- General, OBC, and EWS candidates: ₹1,000.
- SC and ST candidates: ₹500.
- Differently-abled candidates: ₹300.
Payments can be made online.
Tentative Exam Date
The UP Special TET exam is provisionally scheduled for November 3, 2026. It is important to note that once you pass this exam, your scorecard will be valid indefinitely, meaning you will not need to retake the exam.
