UP Police Exam Date 2025: The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially announced the dates for the Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment examination. As per the latest notification, the exam is set to take place on March 14 and 15, 2026. A total of 4,543 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. The available positions include:



  • Sub Inspector Civil Police


  • Platoon Commander PSC/Sub Inspector Armed Police

Exam Format


The SI recruitment examination will utilize an OMR sheet format. This comprehensive 400-mark test will be conducted over a duration of two hours, featuring a total of 160 questions. The breakdown of the exam includes:



  • 40 questions from General Hindi


  • 40 questions from Basic Law/Constitution/General Knowledge


  • 40 questions from Numerical and Mental Ability Test


  • 40 questions from Mental Aptitude Test/Intelligence Test/Reasoning Test

Minimum Qualifying Marks


To pass the SI recruitment exam, candidates must achieve at least 35% in each section and an overall score of 50%. Those who do not meet these criteria will be deemed unsuccessful.
