UP Police Constable Exam Overview:
Earlier, over 47 lakh candidates appeared for the UP Police Constable Exam held on February 17 and 18, aiming for 60,244 vacancies. However, the exam was cancelled due to a paper leak, and the re-examination dates are awaited. Successful candidates in the written exam will proceed to Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification (DV), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) rounds.

Marking Scheme and Exam Structure:

  • Duration: The exam will last for 2 hours.
  • Questions: There will be a total of 150 questions.
  • Marking: Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Language: The exam will be conducted in English and Hindi, with questions in General Hindi presented exclusively in Hindi.
  • Sections: The exam will consist of four sections: General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Intelligence and Logical Ability.

Exam-Day Instructions:

  • Shifts: Earlier exams were conducted in two shifts, morning (10 AM to 12 PM) and evening (3 PM to 5 PM).
  • Stationery: Only black or blue ball pens should be used for marking answers on the OMR sheet.
  • Reporting: Candidates must reach their exam centers two hours before the scheduled time.
  • Admit Card: Admit cards will be available online on the official website uppbpb.gov.in and must be presented for entry into the examination hall.
