Significant news has emerged for the millions of students preparing for the UP Board Exams in 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has updated the examination schedule for both 10th and 12th grades. Notably, the Hindi exams for high school and intermediate levels will now take place in distinct shifts. Additionally, there have been changes to the schedule for the Sanskrit paper. The UP Board 10th and 12th exams are set to commence on February 18, 2026.
Revised Timetable for Hindi Exams
As per reports, the updated timetable indicates that the 10th-grade Hindi exam will occur in the morning shift on February 18, while the 12th-grade Hindi exam will be conducted in the afternoon shift. Previously, both the 10th Hindi and 12th General Hindi exams were slated for the morning session on the same day, with the 10th Elementary Hindi and Intermediate Literary Hindi exams scheduled for the evening.
New Date for 12th Grade Sanskrit Exam

According to a report, the 12th-grade Sanskrit exam has been rescheduled to March 12, taking place in the afternoon shift. This is a change from the earlier date of February 20, when it was planned for the morning shift, alongside the Intermediate English exam in the evening.

UP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2026: How many students will appear for the exams?
Over 5.2 million students are expected to participate in the UP Board 10th and 12th exams, comprising approximately 2,750,945 students in the 10th grade and 2,479,352 in the Intermediate grade. The examinations will be monitored through CCTV. The first shift is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., while the second shift will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
