The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has announced the schedule for the Improvement and Compartment exams for Classes 10 and 12 for the year 2026. Students who participated in the UP Board examinations this year can begin applying for these exams from June 6, with the final date for submissions set for June 27. It is important to note that applications must be completed online, but the payment receipt should be mailed to the UP Board.
Application Process for Improvement and Compartment Exams
**Online Application Submission Required**
Students must submit their applications for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 Improvement and Compartment exams through the official website, upmsp.edu.in. The application window opens on June 6 and closes at midnight on June 27.
**Class 10: One Subject Compartment Exam**
For Class 10 students, the compartment exam is available for only one subject. For example, if a student fails in two subjects, they can choose to take the compartment exam for just one.
**Class 12: One Subject Compartment Exam**
Class 12 students are also allowed to take the compartment exam for only one subject. This applies to students from the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams, who can opt for any single subject. Additionally, students who have failed in one of the specified subjects in Agriculture (Parts 1 and 2) or in vocational trade subjects are eligible for the exam.

Students planning to take the UP Board Class 10 and 12 Improvement and Compartment exams in 2026 must pay a fee. The fee for Class 10 is ₹256.50, while Class 12 students need to pay ₹306.00.
After paying the fee, students should download the application form. A printed version of the form, along with the fee receipt, must be sent via registered post to the relevant regional office of the UP Board by June 30.
