UGC NET December 2025 Results Released


The results for the UGC NET December 2025 have been officially announced. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results on Thursday on their official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can now download their scorecards and verify their eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and PhD qualifications.


Details of the UGC NET 2025 Examination

This examination was conducted in a computer-based format across 85 subjects. It took place from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, at 663 examination centers located in 283 cities nationwide. A significant number of candidates participated in this exam. Along with the results, the subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks have also been released. The highest cut-off for the JRF in the unreserved category was 248 marks for the subject of Natural Sciences, followed by 244 for Buddhist and Jain Studies, and 240 for French. These high cut-offs were observed in specific subjects.

According to the NTA, approximately 5,141 candidates have qualified for the JRF, while 59,821 candidates have passed for the Assistant Professor role. Additionally, 117,058 candidates have been deemed eligible for PhD programs. These figures are based on various categories of eligibility. Some reports indicate slightly different numbers, such as 5,108 qualifying for JRF, but the overall qualification count remains impressive.
