UGC NET December 2025 Exam: Candidates preparing for the UGC NET December 2025 session have received significant updates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the exam schedule for those seeking admission to Assistant Professor roles, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and PhD programs across Indian universities. To view the exam dates, candidates should visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
As per the official announcement, the examination is set to take place from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. It will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format at various locations nationwide. The registration period for the exam will remain open until November 7, 2025, with the application process commencing on October 7. Candidates who have registered will have the opportunity to make corrections to their application forms from November 10 to 12.
Admit cards will be distributed to all registered candidates approximately four days prior to the exam date. Additionally, the exam city slip will be available for download seven to ten days before the exam, accessible using the candidate's registration number and date of birth.
UGC NET December 2025 Exam: Subject Coverage
The examination will occur in multiple shifts from December 31 to January 7, encompassing a total of 85 subjects. Each subject will consist of two papers: Paper I will focus on General Teaching and Research Aptitude, while Paper II will pertain to the candidate's selected subject. The NTA has previously advised candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar card, UDID card (for individuals with disabilities), and category certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) are current and valid when completing the UGC NET December 2025 application form. Furthermore, the advisory emphasizes that the Aadhaar card must accurately reflect the candidate's name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), photograph, address, and father's name.
