Indian Forest Service (IFS) is one of the Civil Services of India created in 1966, the IFS officers are recruited and trained by the Central government but their services are placed under state cadres, and they have to serve both under the state and Central governments.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct Indian Forest Service (IFS) Mains Examination, 2016. The Examination will be held on 12 November, 2016. Check the details given below.

IFS Mains Exam Pattern 2016:

The commission will organize two examinations for the selection of the eligible candidates in the above-mentioned posts. The first exam will be the Preliminary exam and the second one will be the Main.

We are providing you the complete information for IFS examination which consists of 3 parts:

  1. Part 1
  2. Part 2
  3. Part 3

The Part 1 will be the Preliminary exam which further consists of two papers: paper 1, paper 2.

The part 2 is the Main exam which consists of General English, General Knowledge and an Optional Subject.

In part 3, you have to appear for Personality Test & Interview.

Part-1:

As stated above that the preliminary exam comprises of two papers, which are paper 1 and paper 2. Check the subject that these two papers cover from the following section.

6 English language comprehension skills
