  • English Language and Comprehension: 100 marks.

First General Awareness: Current affairs, Geography, Economic Scenario, History, Scientific Research issues and general policies.
Second General Intelligence and Reasoning: Number Series, Symbolic operations and Analogy, Pattern-folding and unfolding, Semantic series, Figural pattern and completion, Symbolic and number analogy, Semantic classification and trends, Space orientation and figural analogy, Drawing inferences. Venn diagrams.

 

Third English Language and Comprehension: Active and passive voice, Synonyms and antonyms, Homonyms, Fill in the blanks, Direct and Indirect Conversion, Comprehension passage, Spellings, Miss-spelt words detection, Cloze passage.

 

 

                                    Syllabus Description in detail

 First section- General Awareness: It is known by everyone usually with reference to the topic in which the term is used. Common knowledge need not concern one specific subject, e.g., Science or history. Rather, common knowledge can be about a broad range of subjects, such as science, literature, history, and entertainment. Common knowledge is distinct from general knowledge. 

  • Current Affairs: It include day to day life and affairs mean events, issues etc. Therefore, current affairs are the day to day incidents and events around us.
  • Geography: Geography is the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources and political and economic activities.

Economic Scenario: is the social science that seeks to describe the factors which determine the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services.

  • History: is the study of the past, particularly how it relates to humans. It is an Umbrella term that relates to past events as well as the memory, discovery, collection, organization, presentation, and interpretation of information about these events.
  • Scientific Research issues and general policies

 Second Section – General Intelligence and Reasoning: means the process of forming Judgment conclusions from premises or facts. The question in this section may be based on Verbal and Non-Verbal.

  • Number Series: A series is basically the sum of the terms of a sequence and when it is in the numerical form. It is to be considered as Number Series.
  • Symbolic operations and Analogy.
  • Pattern-folding and unfolding: Folding and unfolding is an exciting area of geometry.
  • Semantic series.
  • Figurative pattern and completion.
  • Symbolic and number analogy: symbolic is the study of cultural symbols and how those symbols can be interpreted to better understand a particular society and Number analogy we have to analyze the solution based on the given hint.
  • Semantic classification and trends.
  • Space orientation and figurative analogy.
  • Drawing inferences: Inference is the act or process of deriving logical conclusions from premises known or assumed to be true. The conclusion drawn is also called an idiomatic. The laws of valid inference are studied in the field of logic.
  • Venn diagrams: A Venn diagram or set diagram is a diagram that shows all possible logical relations between finite collections of different sets. Venn diagrams were conceived around 1880 by john Venn. They are used to teach elementary set theory, as well as illustrate simple set relationships in probability, logic, statistics, linguistics and computer science.

 Third section- English Language and Comprehension:  The skills of comprehensive in English Language.

  • Active and passive voice.
  • Synonyms and antonyms.
  • Fill in the blanks.
  • Direct and Indirect Conversion.
  • Comprehension passage.
  • Miss-slept words detection.
  • Close passage.
