Announcement of SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Date


SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Date 2025 Released: The results for the CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 have been published, and an important update has been shared for those who have qualified. The Staff Selection Commission has officially set the date for the CGL Tier 2 exam, which is slated to occur in less than a month. The schedule for the CGL Tier 2 exam can be found on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. The written examination is scheduled for January 18, 2026, followed by the skill test on January 19, 2026.


Details on CGL Tier 2 Exam Date
With the exam date approaching, candidates have a limited time to prepare for the CGL Tier 2 exam. Approximately 138,000 candidates are expected to participate. Based on the results from Tier 1, 6,196 candidates have been selected for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) position, 2,781 for Statistical Investigator Grade-2 roles, and 130,418 candidates for various other positions advancing to the next stage.


CGL Tier 2 Exam Structure for 2025
Tier 2 will comprise two papers. Paper-I will include 60 questions from Mathematical Abilities in Section-I, 70 questions from Reasoning and General Intelligence, 70 from English Language and Comprehension, and General Awareness in Section-II, along with 20 questions from the Computer Knowledge Test in Section-III. Section IV will feature the Data Entry Speed Test. Paper 2 will consist of 100 questions focused on Statistics. All examinations are set for January 18, 2026, while the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) will take place on January 19, 2026, and is qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must pass this test.


Admit Card Release Timeline for CGL Tier 2
The admit cards for the CGL Tier 2 exam will also be made available. Candidates can expect to access their hall tickets in the second week of January. The SSC will provide all relevant information on its official website. Once the link for downloading the admit card is active, candidates can retrieve their hall tickets using their registration number and password. In the meantime, candidates are encouraged to continue their exam preparations, take mock tests, and work on areas needing improvement.
